6th eye

A Unity3D virtual reality world for the Oculus Rift with real-time streams of speech and text. Depending on the sentiment that is extracted from the stream of text, the world abruptly becomes bright and chaotic (“positive feelings”) or dark and slow (“negative feelings”). The overall effect is a feeling of phenomenal emergence, with vast implications to be further explored across multiple domains. We hope to develop upon this framework to explore social, industrial, artistic, and metaphysical experiments in the near future. Sixth Eye was made in collaboration with Lance Legel, Qiuyi Wu, Michael Amen, and Stephanie Burgess.
